Hi everyone,

Does anyone have pet insurance for their ladies and if so, who with??

 

If I look at pet insurance websites there is never any mention of chickens!! Would they classed as an exotic pet??

 

If I could get some insurance I def would just in case one of the ladies gets sick...

 

Just thought I would ask what everyone else is doing re the vets?!

Not a stupid question but I think you may find it's too expensive.

We looked into it a while back, and they could only be insured as exotics. for a ludicrous amount of dosh.

 

I seem to remember that it was in the £300's per hen.

 

Things may have changed though now that backyard hen keeping is more mainstream.
