Puffin
Hello, I noticed on the post about poisonous plants that buttercup is listed, we have quite a lot of this in our lawn where the chickens are, anyone know how dangerous buttercup is to chickens? They seem fine and have been on it quite a while but I was a bit worried about it. I am hoping to permanently fence off a large area of the garden and am not really sure what to do about the buttercup in the lawn as we dont want to use weedkiller for obvious reasons? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks Puffin
Daphne
our ground is also infested with buttercup - not had any problems so far.
adeandsu
We also have buttercup in the lawn, and have had no problems so far. When I have a spare few minutes I pull some of it up, but that's mainly for the guinea pigs' benefit (as it's poisonous to them too). Puffin
Yes I have been pulling bits up as and when - but it creeps everywhere, I am hoping that the chickens have enough sense to not eat things that will cause them harm!
