Valkyrie
Jackiepoppies: I bought a Picasso without the the OHs' say so. For a second I thought you meant a painting! Today I am happy because OH and I tackled the veg plot and finished digging it all over, then emptied out our compost bin full of lovely stuff onto the soil. Then the girls trampled and scratched away at it. Then he turned the newer compost in the making over into the empty section while I cleaned out the cube. Feeling very satisfied that the jobs were done quickly with the team effort and a lot of fun. Winter onions and garlic were already planted and the only part left to dig is full of leeks - which are looking fat and juicy and ready to eat. Olly
I'm happy because a friend brought me a load of free wood yesterday - building off-cuts, including some lovely cedar. The garage is full, but I won't need to buy any logs this year! Today I sawed wood for an hour while the girls had a bit of free time, so that was good for both of us. Also, yesterday I finally got round to hanging a mirror in the downstairs loo. It's 2 years since I moved here, the mirror has been propped on the windowsill all that time waiting to be hung ... and yes, it took all of 30 seconds to do once I'd got round to getting the drill out!
