Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

I am getting some 10 week old Cream Legbars in January and the breeder advised that they should be introduced to my existing flock when they are 20 weeks. That seems a long time. My 'flock' are two bantams.

 

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Mine are 18 weeks old tomorrow and I got them at 11 weeks. They have been confined to the Omlet run for 7 weeks with the old girls free ranging around them and vice versa.

 

I plan to let them out very soon. Trouble is, I have 4 old girls to 2 new ones and one os a real bully Dreading it

Thank you Christian 7 weeks is loads better the 10. I think I will play it by ear. My girls are pretty good. I will be introducing 2 newbies to 2 oldies, so I hope that I will not have too much trouble

Mine still peck at eachother through the bars Elsbeth my English Maran is going to be trouble I think. The new girls are a lot bigger now, but still small compared to the oldies. Will stand with my broom, ready to separate

Would you consider fitting a bumper bit before getting them together?

I did think of that, but after the traumatic experience (for me) of fitting one of Babs (RIP) I would only do it as a last resort. I have been feeding them treats along the length of the eglu run, so they are all used to feeding together.

 

Will wait for another week or so I think
