MitchB
Extension and netting fence from Omlet arrived Friday, extension fitted by Friday night and Sat morning we went off and bought two new girls locally, and a haven't decided on names yet still having a major discussion. Breeder said just add them as others will still be sorting out the pecking order. So far so good, all seem to be getting on, no major incidents a couple of peck I don't think so mate type scenarios only. Managed to catch all 7 one by one and cut the flight feathers, hubby doing the catching and holding while I did the cutting. Darcy had extra cuddles after with both of us and even closed her eyes like she was about to go to sleep! They came out for a hour and a half before bedtime (including flight feather trimming) and went in for bed no problems at half four. Did not stray far and ran into the new extended run everytime there was a funny noise like when a seagull flew overhead screaming.
Redwing
Congratulations! Did you originally plan to have the amount of chickens you have now or did you just get quickly addicted?
MitchB
Addicted probably started thinking eglu then went to some breeders etc and thought 3 may not be our ideal number think we would like 4-6, we had best change eglu order to a cube which we did. Hubby is then saying we'll just get 4 until he got the 2 ( ) initial ones the cube arrival day then went back to breeder the following day to get the other 2 ()which he increased to 3 with another . Now we had I'm saying that's enough to start let's see how we go with them. He is not convinced and decides we really need a white sussex hybrid to complete our flock, only I think it would probably be better to add 2 than 1 due to what some breeders had said if you add 2 then the sorting out is spread out between the 2 as if only a single all the attention will be on the newcomer. So that is how the we went for turned into the & . So in other words totally addicted.

Angels4
I hear there is no cure either! I count only 7, I'm a Libra and I think you might need just 1 more to round out the flock It's a balance thing........I like even numbers.
Redwing
ahhhh but then you have to add two because of the picking on newcomers situation, but that leaves you with an odd number again so if Mark likes even numbers that means adding three to make an even ten
