TheCoop
After all this grim rain we've been having, I've noticed in the sleep area, there is some damp which is seeping into the wooden frame of our coop which is coming from the ground. We are going to get some slabs or bricks to raise it up, but of course, it will take time to dry thoroughly which could take a while at this time of year. Any thoughts/recommendations??? Gamebird
Do they have a perch which would keep them off the wet area? If so I wouldn't worry. If not perhaps try some aubiose on the floor to absorb the moisture and give the chickens something dry to stand on.
TheCoop
The damp bit is right in the corner (not on the floor area), so away from them when they sleep and the other side of the sleep area where the nest box is (where 2 of the 3 slep ), so they are not too near it. Bit worrying though.
..lay a little egg for me
I would definitely raise it up if I were you...stops the wood rotting and, if you can get it high enough, prevents rats from making a nest under it
