Groovychook
Eugh... cracked one of Betty's eggs this evening to find the yolk streaked with blood. She's been laying nearly every day for last 5 weeks... only got our chooks at the beginning of October... I'm just a bit worried as for the first time since she's been laying, she's had two days off in a row. I hope it's nothing to do with the blood in the yolk! She seems perfectly happy though. It might be just a coincidence and maybe she's slowing down for the winter but I'd really appreciate some advice if any of you more experienced omleteers have any suggestions. Today, she laid her biggest egg yet- only 51g but big by Betty standards! It was a very long, torpedo shaped egg- maybe that's got something to do with it...
