My beloved Tassimo machine is leaking. It has worked hard during the couple of years that we have had it though. I looked on the John Lewis website and they have the silver ones for £65 in response to a competitor's promotion.

 

I pointed out to OH that it would be silly not to order one as we have only just received a box full of disks through the post and they would go to waste otherwise.

 

 

Plus we had some John Lewis vouchers that we used.

Have absolutely loved it apart from it taking up so much room on the worktop.

I have just bought an another Expresso with Aerochino from JL......SOoooooocheap. It makes the most wonderful coffee...£105...with a £30 cashback and £50 credit from Espresso....that makes my purchase £25..can't believe it!

I have to confess. On the worktop in the conservatory we have a Nespresso, a coffee grinder and a coffee percolator as modelled by Mrs. Beeton below.

 

 

Then further down the worktop we have our Tassimo and Kenwood Chef.

 

When we had the conservatory built, we knocked through to the kitchen and we use it as an extension to the kitchen now.

Get an automatic Nespresso. I bought a manual one several years ago and I'm desperate for it to break down so that I can buy an automatic one.

The rotten thing is too reliable.

I posted about pod coffee makers on here months & months ago because I really fancy one, but I am so fussy about my coffee & am scared that I wil end up with something I don't really like

I bought a cheap senseo for my office at school and it's ok-ish.

I tasted the coffee from the Dolce Gusto in John Lewis and hated it.

 

However, I like the range of drinks from the Tassimo...

Suchard hot chocolate

Milka low fat chocolate

Orange and something tea

fruits of the forest tea

Kenco coffee

Starbucks coffee

Machiato coffee

Twinnings teas

 

and the coffee in the Nespresso is lovely. They have a good range of flavours with feature flavours brought out every now and again. If you get a Nespresso then an aeroccino needs to be bought as well.

 

 

It froths the milk perfectly to go with your lovely coffee.

Jackiepoppies...............the voucher was sent to me from Nespresso, and its for £50 credit ....that should set me up in Restretto coffee for afew months. The £30 is found in the shops.....H of F, JL..... and you send if off with your receipt and the send you a cheque. Its the manuel Magimix nespresso and is great because you can get the strength you want . It came with an aerocino which is a must....lovely froth. JL are price matching....it will be back to £129 but they will price match Hof F who are apparently having a 20% sale off this week.....this weekend it was 117.00 and at the till another 10% was taken off for some reason! I just love my Nespresso - I do think no other machine matches up to it. Hope that helps.

I will wrp it up & pop it under the tree, along with a parcel of pods to go with.

 

I really wanted the red one, but it was £15 more, so went for the silver.

 

It was hearing that you can get Starbucks coffee discs for it that swayed me

The supermarkets often have 4 for £10 offers on the Tassimo disks but mostly it's cheaper to stock up on-line. You get free p&p on orders over £30 and they have all the obscure flavours that you can't get anywhere else.

I know what you mean. My worktop goes Nespresso, coffee bean grinder, Krups percolator, aeroccino, gap, juicer, big gap, Kenwood Chef, gap, Tasimo, microwave.
