A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Something of interest for our knitters... For anyone familiar with Neil Gaiman's children's story Coraline (a delicious fairytale about a girl who finds herself trapped with a family who are exactly like her parents, but really nasty and with buttons instead of eyes), there is an animated stopmotion film version out in February. It looks stunning, and all the costumes are hand-knitted on the tiniest needles - some the size of a human hair. If you go to http://www.coraline.com and click on the 'enter key' section once a bit of film has played and type in sweaterxxs there's a film which shows how the knitting was done. It's pretty amazing - so detailed and really dedicated, and of course - really, really tiny. Anna x

craftyhunnypie
I have tried knitting on long pins before for dolls house clothes. It's too delicate & really strains the eyes. Emma.x
bluekarin
An excellent book which my DD who was 10 when she read it still has problems with toys that have buttons for eyes! I shall have a peekie at the linky. edit: Gracious! What amazingly perfect teeny knitting! She must have the patience of a saint.
