Richard T Posted August 4, 2006 Share Posted August 4, 2006 Late one night there's a knock at the farmhouse door. The farmer drags himself out of bed and downstairs to see who it is. He opens the door and there's a tiny snail who asks him for a glass of water. The farmer is furious at having to get up in the middle of the night to find a snail asking for a glass of water and so he kicks the snail who flies all the way to the bottom of the garden. Six months later there's a knock at the door. The farmer opens it to find the snail looking up at him. The snail asks, "What did you do that for?"
