C&T Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 I am sooooo eggcited! Fred has literally just crouched - for the first time. Eggs MUST be coming soon.... I can't wait to find my first egg!! Fried. I definitely think fried... Or maybe boiled? or poached... Had to come on and tell everyone - you guys I know will understand how eggciting this is! 'He' is 24 weeks now and I thought 'he' might wait until spring now the weather is cold and the days are short. This morning hubby brought in two eggs, one white and one pale brown with speckles. Dora lays white eggs, and one was definitely hers. Doris normally lays brown eggs but is just coming to the end of a moult, so hasn't laid for a few weeks now, so I don't think it's hers. So, I went over to Banjo, who normally runs away, and lo and behold he crouched really low for me! So, maybe it was his egg! Sorry for referring to our Banjo as 'he' we just always have and it has stuck, even now he may have laid us an egg, ha ha! I get those looks all the time now , I try not to be a chicken bore, but then people start converstaions by saying "So how are your chickens doing?".
