sugar&spice
hello all i have an eglu with 2 chickens a miss pepperpot and gingernut ranger. we have had them since october. the gingernut has been laying for some time and the pepperpot has just started. the gingernut is the dominant chicken and from the start has plucked fethers from the other. i didnt realise how bad it was until a week ago the pepperpot has a small bald patch on base of her back close to her tail feathers. i have tried the anti peak spray but it does seem to be working. they get to free range most days and i have added mirrors to the run and in the garden. they get a sweetcorn treat later in the day after there pellets. they also get greens. how can i stop the bullying
hilda-and-evadne
how can i stop the bullying The only thing that I found that worked was putting a bumper bit on the bullying hen. The bullying stopped, and life became so much nicer for the pecked-at hen.
