Superb service from Fedex!

Recommended Posts

I just sold a few accessories for a Bosch kitchen machine, via Ebay, to a lovely lady in Canada. I used a service called Parcel2go for the shipping,as they were by faaaaaaaar the cheapest - my parcel weighed just under 6 kilos and was very large - (at £48 less 5% discount for putting their logo on my listing), and the cost includes them picking up the parcel from me.

Shipped another parcel of these accessories to another buyer ooop North somewhere in the UK, parcel was the same size and a similar weight. That cost me £11 and will take 3-5 days.

Quite a bit of paperwork to do, as international customes requires that t everything in the parcel is listed, plus details of where it was manufactured, and exactly what the components are made of. There were quite a few accessories, so it was a long list. Four copies (photocopied though).

Anyway. FedEx turned up at 11.30am yesterday to pick it up. Tracking was possible within minutes, and I emailed the Canadian lady the details. She emailed me a couple of hours ago to say the parcel had arrived!

Excellent service.

Thats great, I am a UK Customer Service Manager and always notice good service when I get it, its nice that people make recommendations rather than complain!

I sometimes get my staff to tell me about their good and bad customer service experiences and they ALWAYS tell us the name of the company in the 'bad' case and never in the 'good' one! I always say they should spread as much good news as bad.

I can think of several companies on here that people have recommended and others have gone on to use: Aviaries4U, Flyte so Fancy, Tarpaflex and Cotswold Chickens to name a few.

I dare say someone will start using Fedex now too!

That's brilliant service.

Can I add Morphy Richards and John Lewis to the list of good companies?

My iron broke down and I called Morphy Richards to ask a question about it. I told the customer services lady who I spoke to that I wasn't asking for a replacement as it was just out of it's two year warranty but that I had a question about the limescale unit. She took the serial number and said that the problem with the iron was a common problem with that model and they replaced it free of charge.
