I have just got 2 new battery hens this week.Ive called them henrietta and rosey, henrietta is starting to scratch the ground and learning to act like a chicken but rosey if l pick her up shes sick.She brings up clear fluid but only dose it when l pick her up. Im guessing she must be so scared of humans because shes eating drinking and a little more shy but seems ok otherwise has any body ever heard of a chicken being sick as ive never seen it myself but wondered if any body else had.

Sometimes they regurgitate if they have drunk too much. As long as she seems well in other respects, I wouldn't worry.

Yes, I agree with Egluntine, and she'll perhaps take a while to settle down.

 

I would just double check that she is definitely eating pellets/mash & pooing normally. If so, I wouldn't worry.
