Oh dear :(

Sorry to hear that. One of ours did seam to go downhill a few days after we got her, she was very sluggish and falling alseep on her feet.

The Porridge worked wonders on her... she lapped it up. It's great cause it gets them hydrated and fed at the same time.

You could also try some tuna, or marmite on toast... both good pick me ups.

Hopefully she's just feeling a bit lacklustre and she will pick up with some food inside her.

nothing much to add, poor souls! if she is not drinking you cpuld get a stringe from chemist I syringe it gently into her beak. thr is apaste called feedum (think, anyway you can gert it and or similatr in pets at home, it is a hifhigh calorie paste looks like honey, another forum recommended it I got som £6 for the medicine chest. they all loved it as I wanted to see if they liked it before I needed to use it. only tiny amount needed!

good luck, have you got other girls too?

Glad to read that she's had more porridge :) Exbatts don't half worry us! Not sure how long you've had them but have you wormed them at all. When ours were fairly new Edna started to go like Rosey and after trying everything, as a last resort I wormed them all with flubenvet even though they'd more or less come straight from the cages. The difference was phenonomal within a couple of days. She remains the loudest and most feathered of them all :) Chick crumb can also be good for them.

Anne ive just been looking at your pics of your ex bats they look so lovely how are they now this many months on :D

Ahh, thanks :) I will have to do some updated pics of them. Sadly we do only have 3 left now. Patty who can't see properly out of one eye and she's also started moulting. Mindy recently spent 13 days living in the house with us as she couldn't stand up but is now fine although has a bit of a limp and Edna who is a noisy greedy guts :D

Keep us updated on Rosey.

Ahh, that's great news about Rosey :) Hopefully it will be onwards and upwards now for her.

Lurleen, Brandeen and Selma died of natural causes. They just seemed to slow down for a day or so and then they passed away. At least they were all lucky enough to have lovely sunny days as their last days.

Enjoy them as they learn to be proper chickens and looking froward to seeing pictures of them soon :D I've took some more pics and hope to get them loaded up soon.
