I read in an old post that Eglus are tested down to -10C but there are forecasts that we are going to have a bitterly cold spell from next week, possibly with record low temperatures. I am a bit worried that my three girls will get too cold in their Eglu and was wondering whether to cover it with a tarpaulin, fleece, or something similar at night. What do other members recommend?

 

Also, it it worth putting vaseline on their combs? They are ordinary Rhodie crosses and do not have big combs.
