Thank goodness for that!

Definitely not a hinny and so won't be threatened with the chop any more. Perhaps I scared her! His Lordship so loves his costings and so far for this year we are now down to the grand sum of £9 per egg! We got as far as £5.12 last year. Now all I need is for them to all go broody!:lol:

LOL! I haven't dared cost mine and I won't let the Man Who Didn't Want Chickens anywhere near a spreadsheet. We have a glut at the moment as Sylvie has started laying again and I haven't had time to bake. If you need a couple of 'plants' , without the giveaway lion mark, you're very welcome!

I might just hold you to that - thanks! At the moment Sioux has laid a big one this morning - not quite as big as Annies, but big enough to fit into the holes in my little egg box. All the others went through the holes and only Annies fitted. I have had it in pride of place in the kitchen even before we had the girls and was really miffed when it still couldn't be used - until this year! Now down to £8.94 per egg - but I haven't bought anything for the girls yet - then it'll go up again!
