I have just ordered my first eglu with some extras inline with the boards advice, it looks like it will be here on Friday

 

Can anyone recommend (or is someone) a breeder nr Abergavenny ?? that will supply 4xChickens and advice this time of year ????

because i wanted 3 different coloured hens.

I haven't had a day's trouble with mine since i got them last June and even now its cold and dark I am getting 2 eggs a day still.

 

there are lots around you though if you google chicken breeders gwent or something, just depends if you'd rather go recommended or not.

I got my Black Rocks from a guy called Chris Much, he's in a place called Stanleytown, Ferndale, which is up past Pontypridd. Don't know how far it'd be from Abergavenny though.

I got mine last march from Pen-Rhiw-Garn Poultry, Llangynidr , they had about 10 different breeds, all mine have been healthy and happy, no pecking or squabbling.

i have to recommend steve at the puoltry mill also, i have 4 of his chickens and i havent had a single problem, he is very helpful and has a good choice of pure breeds or hybrids
