CannyCat
Urghhhh Canny Cat. I'm afraid I'm not particularly interested in how he got out out from under the bowl, nor how he got into the house in the first place........ the most pressing question (in my opinion ) is where the heck is he now He's obviously determined and strong, with amazing escapologist tendencies........ and he's in your house. NOW He could be under your bed, behind the bath....... even under your pillow. You must get those hens soon, if only to save you from the tyranny of marauding slugs with criminal tendencies I've been asking the same question!! I assumed he had gone behind the washing machine, which is where I think he came from (his tail was pointed at the gap between the washer and the unit) but we pulled it out and it's not there! Mel (& Paul)
I trod on one, barefoot, the other day *shudder* - I hate slugs Uggghhh, that made me feel sick Cinnamon! Our first flat was a huge victorian converted house. With no heating (ahh poor you I hear you cry) We had loads of slugs - never seeing them until the next morning when we found their little silvery trails. I stepped on one middle of the night on the way to the bathroom. I am still receiving therapy

I used to have to feed our cats outside because of the dog and baby would eat it I used to flick the bowls so they would go flying If that did not work I would them either bang the bowl on the step of jab them off with a stick

CannyCat
We found another slug in our kitchen last night, but this time we had Omlet hens We scooped it into a glass, put a tray over the top (and weighted it down!) and then gave it to the girls in the morning. The white hen, as yet unnamed, accidentally tossed it out of the eglu, and the poor blighter made the mistake of slithering back into the eglu! The white hen ensured it had a quick end
