The bloke who sells me my layers pellets has just told me that Allen and Page (I think) have brought out a new kind of pellets especially for ex batts! Its supposed to have extra protein in to help them re-feather etc. Initially me and OH went and tut tutted at the marketing scam. "As if ex-batts need different food" we said. "Ours were okay with layers pellets"........... then, approximately 4 hours later we met 8 new ex-batts (see other post "Luckiest hens in Yorkshire) and now.......... yes you guessed it, we are going to buy them a bag of special ex-batt food soft or what??
