fluffyknickers
I havent got them yet as they are coming with the cube in February but reading with interest some of the posts. I have been reading about what treats and extra bits you giveyour chickens and things tat I never imagined they could eat like tuna! So what can and cant they have? I see you give things like grapes and sweetcorn but then could you give other fruit and veg and salad bits if you wanted to offer a treat? I am a total novice as you will have guessed. stoice
Most fruit and veg is fair game (In moderation of course). Basically what we humans can eat they can with exceptions of too much salt, too much fat, avocado and RAW potato (Cooked is fine though) Plus there is a whole list of plants on here that doesn't do them any favours - but you try telling my girls they're bad for them!!! My girls top ten.. 10 - cabbage and general greens like grass 9 - strawberries 8 - apple 7 - potato 6 - mixed corn 5 - sweetcorn 4 - dried mealworms 3 - live mealworms, earthworms, slugs, woodlice 2 - pasta (all shapes, but spaghetti is more worm-like 1 - GRAPES
