joybelle
I`ve been fortunate so far this winter my seven girls have laid between 35 and 40 eggs a week untill a couple of weeks ago when I couldn`t get their usual brand dodson and horrell. I could only get spillers and since being on these egg production has gone down quite dramatically to 20 odd. I wondered if this was because of the change in brand. Chook n Boo Mum
Gosh that's a bit drastic, we changed from Smallholders to Marriages with no such ill effects, hope they get back up to full strength once they are used to the new ration. Are they due a moult maybe? Sha x
quickcluck
Mine are on small holders and lay really well, can you get hold of any of that?
poachedegg
Due to finding a local supplier, we changed our brand and it hasn't made any difference.
meezers
Might just be coincidence. Mine are on Dodson and Horrell, always have been, but egg production has been rather erratic the last month or so, especially this last week, think mine are just having a hissy fit because of the weather ! maybe they're suffering from SAD
