We have so much snow on our hilly driveway that I have been unable to get my car out since Wednesday. On Saturday I ran out of layers pellets . OH and DS1 walked the 4 miles to our nearest town to bring back food for us but did not think it feasible to carry a 20kg sack back as well. Very luckily there is a lovely Omleteer in the village who was better prepared than me and had an unopened sack of pellets that she was willing to share . I probably looked rather strange trudging through the snow lugging a bucket full of chicken feed

 

With more heavy snow forecast for tonight it looks like my chooks will now be the best fed of all of us. Still, as DD pointed out, we will still have eggs to eat
