anyone know where to get Ukadex from....please?

 

I havent got any and think i probably should have.... I can only find it at Merrydale for 11.99 plus delivery

 

Is it a spray... how do you put it on if not?

That's quite a good price from Merrydale poultry. It is a spray and you just apply it to the area being pecked. It smells quite strong and stains everything ginger so just make sure you're wearing something old and are wearing gloves.

I think I paid nearly £20 (probably around £18 or so but can't remember) for mine including delivery, so that sounds like quite a good price although I guess there's a delivery charge as well.

 

DO wear strong rubber gloves, and spray with care! It is revolting, and every time I used the gloves afterwards I got some of the smell on my hands again ... also, be prepared for the fact that the eggs will stink, although I found it wore off if I left them in the kitchen for a while.

In desperation I got mine from Merrydale, but they charge ridiculous postage for 1 tin of the stuff claimed it was next day delivery and I didnt get mine for 4 days.

 

I dont think many places sell it.

 

It stinks but its the only thing we have found that works.

well if you are driving to Guildford you could bring your chook & use my spray! for free, but only if you were using petrol to come this way

thanks Sandy... there is no urgency at the mo, but i just think i should get some as ours are prone to peck.... Just trying to figure out where to get some before i have a panic.

i didn't think it smelt as bad as every one said. BUT I MAY be the only person that it made not a jot of difference too!

I got mine from Merrydale, but from their ebay shop rather than their own website - I think it was £11.99 plus £2.50 postage which was by far the cheapest I could find it. It arrived the next day (2 1/2 weeks later and the smell is still lingering!)

hate to tell you but while my girl was poorly and being medicated or cuddled I could STILL smell it and that was at least 2 months ago. (it was only faint mind) licky I didn't find it repulsive!
