I am worried that Snow White may have a prolapse. Her bottom looks quite messy and the feathers round about are very straggly. However, she is still laying eggs and seems to be quite happy.

Have you had a look? You will see the prolapse if its that or other problems. If it was me I would worm her as well. mucky chooks

If it is a prolapse, her oviduct will have turned itself inside out through the vent with the effort of laying and will be very obvious.

 

If she has this, remove her from the others at once as they will find it a irresistible and peck at it, causing serious injury.

 

If she has this, you will need to clean the area thouroghly with a weak saline solution and then, wearing gloves, attempt to push i t back in, using a little vaseline or lubricating jelly.

 

If it is swollen, an application of haemorrhoid ointment may reduce the tissue sufficiently, to enable you to do this.

 

TBH it doesn't sound as if this is what she has got.

 

As Plum suggests, I'd worm her.
