ChirpyChirpyCheepCheep
Good Morning everyone Have any of my fellow omleteers seen or know anything about this? http://www.beagoodegg.com (hope this comes up as a link) My local school has been asked to get their children involved and I’m unsure about the welfare of the chickens. Should we do this? Any advise gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
Redwing
My best friend works for Send a Cow who arrange for African people to have animals (amongst funding other projects like sustainable growing/agriculrtural training and encouraging families to pass on their baby animals on to other poor families) Anyone wanting to benefit must prove that they have built the housing needed and demonstrate that they can care for the animal. Volunteers go over to Africa to see schemes in action and I for one am very impressed with the dedication shown by the charity and the ability to see where the money is going Hopefully these people will have some way of checking up on the birds they fund too and I dare say if contacted they will be able to reassure you and answer any question syou may have
ChirpyChirpyCheepCheep
Thanks Redwing I think I will drop them an email to ask where they get the chickens from and how they are looked after. Just wondered if anybody had supported this scheme. Thanks again. . .
