How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Hello everyone

One of my girls has lost her knickers! She had two bald patches at first and then it spread across her back end, I have just gone out to see them and found that all of the fluffy knicker feathers have gone over night. I have checked her and she is not sore just bald. Is this normal? Should I be doing something for her?

 

Please can someone advice me as im worried about my lovely girl xx

It does sound like a moult. One of mine lost her fluffy knicks overnight and another one left a trail of feathers wherever she walked. You could always dust with mite and lice powder in case.

I'd say it was a moult too.

 

My brahmas lost all their beautiful fluffy knickers over the Winter and looked like ex-batts in places. They are back to their old selves now, looking more gorgeous than ever.

Thanks for the replies, since I posted I went to clean the cube, when I pulled the trays out, flies came out! Yuk! I have never had this before, the cube is cleaned every week, I have now cleaned everything, no sign of any nasties. Could this be a coincidence or a sign of something nasty? I think I will treat them for worms and mites, to be on the safe side.

Doused my cube with Red Mite powder this week and it smells lurverly.

Flies?

Hope your girls find their nix soon.

Them dastardly fly creatures....no need!

Keep us posted as we need to know they've recovered and that they are ok

Will do chillicat. Hope the flies are gone, I was really upset that my girls were sharing with these nasties. They got to have a lovely run in the garden whilst scrubbed I the house!! (the chooks, not the flies!)
