Mel (& Paul)
But in shoes like that you should be walking on a fragrant carpet of rose petals
Mrs Frugal
Hard to choose which would make the best avatar but I love the shoes!
Cinnamon
I agree with Kate - those shoes are wonderful
One Man Banned
Ok I have a thought Thanks Kate for doing the avatar for me but Dan, can you "mix it" with the shoes in the same style as your avatar - I get the best of both in my avatar then! Mrs Frugal
Excellent idea !! I can't do anything that technical so over to you Dan!

Guest
Ok I have a thought Thanks Kate for doing the avatar for me but Dan, can you "mix it" with the shoes in the same style as your avatar - I get the best of both in my avatar then! here you are Colly... I can't get Omlet to accept anything over 80x80 pixels - which is what it says it allows - except that your current one is 120x64 pixels and Kates is 110x110 and Dan's is a whopping 135x135... do mods (or mod-posted avatars) get an extra allocation? If not - what am I doing wrong?? Phil
One Man Banned
Phil! Brilliant I think that Kate and Co can do something with them - which is why my avatar used to look so grainy Dan knows what to do - I havent the foggiest!
Mrs Frugal
I get away with the size thing by linking the avatars to my photobucket account rather than using the forum to display them so you can make a slightly larger avatar. We can't use huge ones, obviously, because they'd push all the text to one side and would take forever to load up for people still on dial up. Guest
you can right-click on the moving image above - save it and then upload it through your "profile" page - then you could use it as an avatar... the only avatars larger than 80x80 on the forum are those belonging to mods or those uploaded by mods... I think they must (inadvertently) have a bigger allocation. so.. if Dan uploads it for you - he might be able to do a bigger version... ho hum! Phil
Mrs Frugal
Phil, if you're able to make that avatar slightly bigger - not enormous though, I'll pop it in my Photobucket account and link it to the forum for Andrew to use as an avatar if you like. I can fiddle about in admin and upload it.
Mrs Frugal
It's nothing to do with allocation as anyone can link to an avatar or a photo hosted elsewhere without having to stick to the 80x80 pixel size that the forum has to use. It's not just a mod thing but the idea of using the forum to host the pictures is so that there aren't thousands of enormous avatars! Mrs Frugal
Andrew, I've uploaded the new avatar Phil's done for you but if you want it to be any bigger you'll need to talk nicely to Phil as I've not got the technical know how to do that bit as it's an animated avatar! Guest
thanks Kate.. I tried linking to the bigger version in my photobucket account - but it wouldn't let me do that either.. it'll remain a mystery... anyway - no matter! here's the bigger-sized version: thanks Kate, Phil
Mrs Frugal
I'll have a go. Maybe it does let me do it as site admin, I don't know. Anyway - off into the admin broom cupboard to see what I can do. I may be gone a while.....

Guest
you need to use a gif-animation program.. I'll happily make one for you if you need one... (just post the pics here and consider it done - but I might have to ask Kate to upload it so it's a decent size!) Phil
