I thought Primrose had stopped laying as she is having a significant moult. This morning I found her looking slightly embarassed at a 'wild nest' under a bush at the end of the garden - home to half a dozen of her lovely hens - what a clever girl. Today she allowed me to pick her up and carry her to the eglu where she used all the facilities to lay an indoors egg. It brings a whole new meaning to 'free range' - Think I may be baking a cake or two to use them up quick!!
