Vivihen
Whilst shopping this morning I spotted a new (to me) sewing magazine, 'SEW Hip'. The following two projects were mentioned and I thought that some of you with large stashes of fabric would be interested in doing something with them for charity. 'Mama to Mama', mamatomama.org , ' seeks to find ways to connect handcrafters with mothers, children and families'. Their last project was to make newborn baby caps and blankets for mothers in Haiti. The National Trust for Scotland wants drawstring bags to put lost lost puffin chicks in-www.nts.org.uk.

Chook n Boo Mum
Here is an article with a contact number and some more details. I love puffins poor little lost pufflings.... http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/news/nts-says-sew-to-save-st-kilda-puffins/00342/ Have just rung to find out sizes etc to make the bags in and they've had such a phenomenal response (the appeal went out over Christmas) that they don't need any more this year, but thanks anyway!
