I want to treat the house for mites/red mite and want to get something that is going to be effective. The red mite powder that omlet sell, we were told by our vets that this is pretty much useless which was prooved when my mum got a terrible infestation. I need something which is stronger to put in the house, this can be something where the girls need to be out for a couple of hours, but ideally not overnight. What does everyone suggest as just surfing the net i am coming up with lots of different product, but no idea how effective that really are? Redwing Posted February 26, 2009 Share Posted February 26, 2009 DE powder is supposed to be very good as it dries the mites out Poultry sheild could be a good bet as its a liquid and can be forced in to all the little gaps and cracks with the spray bottle and by decanting some in to an old washing up liquid bottle and using that as a 'jet spray' When everything is dry you could use using clear silicone in the gaps to seal them to prevent furtehr problems Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
