Im not sure what is happening, but we have a feather issue

 

We are used to not having fluffy bottoms, but one of our girls has bald patches on her wings!!! its kind of on her shoulders.

 

They are all now fitted with bumper bits... but i'm not sure who or what is happening. There is no obvious squabbles, they have all been treated for lice and worms with Xeno 200... but i have a sneaky suspicion she is doing it herself or it is a wierd moult.

 

Has anyone else had bald wings before. She looks shocking, no bum feathers bald patches on her sides and now her wings...?????????

 

Not sure if Ukadex would help here ???

Sounds as if she is having a moult.

 

If they have bumpa bits I wouldn't imagine that Ukadex will make a massive difference.

My fear Egluntine is that they are pulling their own feathers and eating them??? Perhaps the Ukadex would deter them from eating them? There are no feathers to be found, and none of them have fluffy knickers (except the araucana - who just seems placid during the day)

Hmmm....Not sure that they could do that with the bumpa bits in place.

 

Might be worth trying the Ukadex after all. Hopefully it will make a difference.

We do change their bumper bits regularly, but they have had them since may last year... but they need them!!! I hope they are not teaching themselves bad habits again!!!

 

Fingers crossed and it is just a moult, but i'm suspicious!
