Mrs Webmuppet
Todays update for any one following the adventures of Bumble, Scurry and friends. The Snowy and Scurry have mastered the ladder (nil points for style though). There's still a little bit of bullying going on.......Bling (who appears to be the youngest judging by her lack of comb) keeps picking on Scurry ( big mistake 'cause if Bumble catches her she gets a little peck from Bumble). If Bling doesn't stop her antics soon it may be one of those bumpa bit thingys for her. The other two newbies seem to be fine. Is this normal behaviour? Cooks
Well, things are settling down nicely, we get the very occasional feather tug and peck, but as they days go they get less and less. Flo is now a lot more confident and will stand her ground a lot more instead of running.. that's my girl! She has become a firm favourite of mine I am still waiting on Flo to lay an egg, although i believe she's responsible for a few softies lately , the others are all laying each day. Intro's are going so smoothly the eglu will be going to it's new home very soon.
mostin
Glad it's all going so well cookie monster. I've had my new girls for just over a month now, split between 2 eglus. For the last 2 weeks they've been free-ranging together during the day but at night, by choice, they have separated into oldies and newbies and gone into separate eglus. Last night I went out to shut up shop and found one eglu completely empty , all 7 were tucked up in the other eglu . I guess they are officially friends now. This means next weekend we can swap over from 2 eglus to 1 cube and Laurmauf can have her eglu back.
