feemcg
Tom, your pic is of a Blue-laced Wyandotte in the 1st pic and a Buff-laced Wyandotte in the 2nd (I have one of each), The hen on the front of the book looks like a standard hen to me, definitely not a Japanese or any other kind of fancy fowl. moomin
I tend to agree with Fee. The one on the cover might be a hybrid, who is lucky enough to have beautiful black regular tail feathers. They don't look long enough for the Japanese Bantam. The Laced Wyandottes are gorgeous - I want one! Do they generally have nice characters? OwenLdn
Ive had my Blue Laced Wyandotte about 3 weeks now and I would say is quite a nice character- she feeds from my hand although is getting a little bullied from the Plymouth Rock however i think this is just them getting established. They are beautiful birds and have the biggest frilly knickers! So funny!
moomin
Next on my wish list then! I like the names of your chickens OwenLdn, especially Priscilla (Cilla!)
OwenLdn
I think there was about 3 people who called their chicken Flo recently- i thought i was being original but was the last out of the 3 to do it but I bet I have subconciously read it on here! Priscilla was shortened to Cilla Black! (as she is black in colour!).
Cooks
LOL yup I named mine Flo end of January, then came BarbaraJ a little later, then you, but there are Flo's that were even before that

moomin
I nearly called one of my Pekins Flo! But somehow Pekin's are so little they need small names (urrrgh embarrassed alien smilie!!) So my babies are called Perle, Poppy and Lulu (tho Luly doesn't suit her so am maybe thinking of something else instead )
