pecking order..update. really need help cant get the bit on!

Recommended Posts

As some of you know i'm in the throws of a pecking problem. Sweetie the culprit is now the proud owner of a bumper bit :D

However, this morning I see Harriet who was the victim has taken over the bully role

What do I do? Put a bit on her or all of the remaining ones? Will it just carry on down the line otherwise?

Am feeling a bit desperate......

Just tried to get a bit onto harriet with no luck, we cant seem to it under her nostril skin flap for want of a better word.... I am worried if it goes on top it will harm the skin or get an infection...

Really need help

Thats exactly what happened to us!!! Initaially I thought "good for you girl!!" but it quickly became as bad a problem

We are currently, spraying Ukadex all over all of the (avoiding face) every 3 days, its seems to have stopped things getting worse. But I do find they are a bit "off" for a day or so after they have been sprayed. I am also worming them now. I hated fitting bumpa bits and they didnt seem to last very long, although very good for a couple of weeks.

I certainly dont know the answers, but thought you may like to know how we are trying to deal with this problem. Hope you soon get on top of this problem, let us know how you get on.

I have just posted my woes on another thread.........Please help Bumper bits. We too are going through similar which is why we decided to fit bumper bits on all 4, but Midnight who isnt easy to catch/handle got it off straight away and poor little ginger couldnt seem to eat so I have removed hers. I have the same worries that the feather pecking will just swap now, and mine are being kept in the run for 2days today as we are away!!

Let me know how you get on..i also hated the bumper bit fitting I know its for their welfare but it really is awful!

I dont have any Ukadex yet just anti pluck form a pet shop which doesnt seem to have any effect.
