bellekatz
We have finally finished the conversion of the big run from chicken run to cat run and the cats are now able to go out and play! Simba our Abby is an outside cat anyway and free to go where he wants, but at 12 and having had pancreatitis and nearly died recently, he prefers to be in the sun at the top of the ladder - bless! Chickvic
That looks really good, where are the chickens now? Or do they get to share?
bellekatz
The chickens are in the small run that used to be the cat run but there areonly the four of them now and they get to come out and play in the garden now! So everyone is happy!
Chickvic
The cats are certainly enjoying it and if the chickens get to trash your garden - it's a win-win situation!
Chook n Boo Mum
I wish my neighbours would put their cats in a run like yours.....! Would stop them peering through the grass at my chooks & upsetting them no end....and winding up my dogs in a similar fashion....and killing our wild birds...and using my borders as a toilet.......need I go on?! Why do you keep them in a run - sorry, I don't have cats so have no idea! Would only contemplate getting one if I could guarantee it would be a good ratter, as that wouldn't be a foregone conclusion & I'd end up with a "sofa slug", I will probably steer clear. I'm happy enough to pet them at friends houses, just couldn't deal with the "presents" having looked after neighbour's pair a few times!
