Popcorn Posted July 10, 2005 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Did anybody take part in the Race for Life this year? It's been in Leicester today in Western Park. I was really gutted to have missed out - my application form arrived too late . Still - we went up there to hand out bottles of much needed water, and lots of support. The turn out was fantastic, as were the welcome ice-creams Lots of people were wearing messages on their backs dedicated to people/family that had suffered from cancer. So, here's my shout out to Cancer Research and all the hundreds of women who took part in the Race for Life. Wish I could have a go but I'd manage 3 steps and collapse in a heap! My Aunt's recovering from breast cancer so I'd have run it for her if I could.
