nutterly_uts
Have been away for a week, with family looking after the chickens. I've just cleaned them out and moved the run, and while they were rooting through the new grass, I've spotted that 3 of my 4 have bald bums - one of the silkies is cleanly plucked, but the other and the light sussex are patchy. I can't see any blood on them, but am going to order something to put on there - any ideas? I am presuming that chicken number 4 is the culprit, as the one I would have suspected is the light sussex, and she is affected. What has caused this? How do I stop it? Do I rehome (or eat..) the culprit?
Plum
Perhaps its just because while you've been away they have been shut up. Now you are back and they are out they may settle. Hope so
nutterly_uts
Their routine has been the same. I am praying it is nothing, but I have ordered a pekablock, and some violet anti spray stuff, and their run has been moved to try to distract them. Am gutted
