annettec
We bought a Silkie from a breeder and she seems to have settled well but she seems to have a touch of diarrhoea very orangy in colour, but she was housed in an aviary type cage before in a shed so has never been on grass or outside so I am hoping that it is the grass she is now devouring. Am adding grit/oyster to food and only giving pellets and then a little corn in the pm so have held off giving any extra fruit/green stuff as extra to see if this helps? Any ideas ??? Christian
It could just be settling in nerves. One on every 10 poos comes from a different part of the gut and is usually orange and stinky I would cut back on all treats and just feed pellets and water for a while and she is she settles down. annettec
Thanks for your reply. That makes total sense as i noticed that where she sits in the Eglu the poo is normal so was wondering why only two poos per 24hrs was this colour as i know chickens poo lots more over the day ! Thanks so much for the reassurance
