Griffin
I've been re-arranging the chicks these last few few days. Little Chicks were getting too big for the rat cage (they're four weeks old) so I wanted to move them out to the garage where the Big Chicks were. There was a little bit of pecking going on but they seemed to be tolerating each other but by yesterday afternoon it became clear that the Big Chicks had decided to be Big Bullies and were barricading the Little Chicks into the coop, not letting them out for water so I bit the bullet and put the Big Chicks outside in my other coop & run. They're almost eight weeks old and fully feathered so I hoped they'd be ok. So far so good! They've spent their first night out and seemed very pleased to see me this morning. The run is supposed to be going on woodchip which I haven't bought yet because I wasn't expecting to need it so soon so they're on bare earth until I go out tomorrow but they're enjoying scratching around on it. I took a video of them this morning plus some photos of Little Chicks, three of which are Light Sussex and the other two are mongrels. I know for sure there are at least three boys, one has a particularly massive comb for someone so small! An escapee! Boy with the massive tail and comb!
