mrs duck Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 Hi there i have two ducks one white alsbury and a male cross breed (im not sure what he is but hes beautiful) called george and peppa i also have 5 rescued battey hens and one old hen who survied a fox attack luckly girl, three of the batttery hens have the sniffles they also sound chesty and have been to the vets , the vet gave a shot of anitbioctics (sorry my spelling is terrible ) but they are still bad it maybe stressed as well? but the battery welfare from which they were rescued have told me to get them" tylan soluble" that you put in the water to help them plus treating any of the others which may come down with it, what i cant seem to find out is if it is safe to use with ducks the vet is going to try and find out for me also but wonderd if anybody knew i dont want to danger them with it thank you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The best place to check would be on the Practical Poultry forum as they have a clinic section and a vet to answer any questions. I hope you soon find out and are able to treat all your poultry.
