Posted March 31, 2009 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Hi, a close friend whose family have had a lot of support from this hospital asked me to support this petition: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/health/s/1101538_cash_back_for_christie_campaign The hospital lost a lot of funds in the icelandic bank collapse. I know that you can argue they should have checked where they put their deposits more carefully, but at the end of the day I would rather the government supported such causes than fat cat bankers and their pensions! Government is bailing out many of our financial institutions i'm sure there will not be much left for anyone else, TBH I'm not sure your hospital fund will fair very well, if government intervenes on their behalf then the flood gates will be opened for everyone who invested in Iceland to make a claim and there will be no money left in the pot, but good luck I agree with your sentiments Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
