Is anyone else as irritated as I am by Waitrose's new campaign "Thought for Food" ?

 

I have just been into our local branch and it is emblazoned all over the place, together with a photo of a roast chicken...and directly under and over their "Select Farm" chicken products.

 

Their Select Farm chicken is intensively reared...30kg/sqm ....so not much thought going into that really is there?

 

I know they try harder than some of the other supermarkets but I really think this is misleading the public. I feel a letter coming on....! :evil:

I don't blame you Sadie, I have already taken them to task about the lack of free range chicken meat in their ranges. Given that they are so dedicated to using only free range eggs in their products, I am puzzled by their lack of initiative in taking the next step.

 

I always buy all my free range meat locally.
