Valkyrie
As if they couldn't hear the whingeing! OH was in the front garden chatting to the neighbour with the dog (yes it did lunge and growl at him). Their DD said she had seen the chickens last week for the first time and said how gorgeous they were. So OH told them about the girls and that one was broody - "OOH are you having chicks?" No. "Can you get a cockerel then?" NOOOOOO! So we can breathe a sigh of relief - and when we are up and running with all 3 again, let them have some eggs. Their DD would love to see them properly, so will let her in for a cuddle with Cheyenne while she is in a chilled frame of mind. Luckily Sioux got bored in the nestbox yesterday (she couldn't resist the call for food) and hasn't displayed any more signs of broodiness today at all. Edited to add - they want us to get piglets now aswell. Noooooo!
