Sorry to hear about your guinea pig :(

Guinea pigs live about 4- 7 years, so 4 isn't usually young to die. I wouldn't worry about the mice - they will just be after the food. I think any guinea pigs, rabbits or chickens in the garden live alongside mice and (apart from having to share their food!) they are usually fine. I have seen mice run into my chicken eglu and g-pig run with no problems.

Thankyou so much we dont want any more ginipigs as the eglu will become a chicken respite when they are getting pecked to much. But when the colder weather comes ill bring her in as she wont have no one to cuddle for warmth. :) We have had mice on and off have managed to get rid of them but warmer weather is comming back and so are they.As long as they wont attack her ill leave them to it.When we found dora her nose was all bloody, but a friend told me that when she found one of hers dead it had its ear biten of.So thought may be ginipigs somtimes did this.or l thought it could be a mouse.

I wouldn't worry about mice etc killing you guinea pigs either, they just run in to grab the food thats all and I agree, I wouldn't say 4 years old was young, I've had younger die myself, you never know whats happening inside them.

Sorry to hear shes gone (brown guinea):(
