For those with a moving cube...

Recommended Posts

Does anyone tractor (move) their cube with an extension? Honestly, my cube with the standard run is a little difficult to move, but I'm toying with the idea of an extension for when the girls grow to full size (they're 8wks old now, so still plenty of room for everyone  ).

Anyone able to move their cube + extension?????? Advice??????

It's a good question, and the answer is that I can move my Cube + 1 extension with difficulty - but mine is on a rather uneven piece of ground. I can shift it a few feet, but not much more than that. I think if it was on slabs or a level area, it might be a bit easier.

It's not the weight, so much, as the fact that when you engage the wheels, the run + extension is so long that it doesn't really lift off the ground much. If I want to move it any distance I have to get a friend to come and lift the front of the run up. I think if you want to move it regularly, then you'd either have to get help or be prepared to detach part of the run every time you moved it. If you can get someone to hold the front up, you should be able to move it ok though.
