They're not as impressive as Bekibutton's earrings, but I've just made some button stud earrings.

They are just a deep green, mother of pearl, plain, two-hole button superglued on to flatpad earring stud posts.

The easiest earrings to make ever, and WELL cool.

Can't take a photo because my camera's too rubbish for that close a close up. But a dead easy project to maybe make as a present for button-lovers. :D

bekibutton gave me this link earlier Snowy...

http://www.buttoncompany.co.uk/

Could spend a lot of money on that site.

Thanks a lot they have just what I want. :D

chickychicky my tree is just twigs and leaves that fall off at present but will have whimsical birds in the branches and I was going to put a rabbit underneath but now I think it will have to be a chicken. :D

Last summer I went to Chatsworth House. In the toilet by the gift shop there are the most amazing tree of life tiles which inspired me. So if you visit Chatsworth in Derbyshire remember to go to the loo. I took lots of pictures which must have seemed odd to the people waiting to use the loo.

That sounds wicked! I'd love to go to Chatsworth. The Dowager Duchess of Devonshire, Deborah 'Debo' (a Mitford) is a MAJOR chicken fan. She wrote a book with chickeny anecdotes in it. She's knocking on a bit, but still writes to all correspondants by hand. I dropped her a note because the book was so sweet and she sent me back a little hand written card. I love her.

Now - you will remember to post pics of this masterwork won't you? It sounds really good!

OMG!!!!

so THAT's how you have a handwritten note from DEBO!

I'm going to write to her straight away.... about chickens, and see if she writes back to me! I am such a Mitford-girls fan, as you know ALM, but to actually have a bit of mitford script would be swoonsworthy!

(so very many exclamation marks!!!)
