loubielou
Hi I've found an online site to purchase everything I need for my chickens and the prices seem good. I wonder if someone could glance at my list to check I've got the right stuff? We're getting 3 hens by the way, so I hope I've got the right size feeder/drinker? 1024 - Super Drinker (4 Ltr - 6.95 GBP) 1006 - Outdoor Galvanised Feeder (2.5kg - 22.50 GBP) 1090 - Poultry Spice (remove) 1086 - cider vinegar (2.5Ltr - 5.99 GBP) 1099 - Stalosan F (Trial Shaker - 2.50 GBP) 1140 - Mixed Grit 3kg (remove) 1070 - Diatom (2kg - 15.99 GBP) Anything important I've forgotten? Many thanks!
scrambledhead
Sounds good! You'll love having chickens, but don't forget some food and bedding
Ain't Nobody Here
Garlic powder . Brilliant for making poos less whiffy. If you're getting a wooden house, I'd get some red mite powder too. Even if you're not, there's no harm getting some anyway. What type of flooring are you planning on? I only ask because you might be better getting a large tub of Stalosan F with that order (P&P is a lot because it's so heavy and you'd need more very soon if you only got a trial shaker). I have an 8kg tub which has lasted 18 months and still has a third left. Have you found a local equine supplier for your pellets, mixed corn and bedding? (Hemcore, Aubiose, Easibed, Nedzbeds are all good types). If so, check them out for some of those items - they usually sell the vinegar & garlic powder.
