Johnson's Anti-Mite Spray - how to use it?

Recommended Posts

Silly question but I've had some for ages but never used it.

Vet found one louse on Stella on Monday. But then when I asked to see it we could not find it again, so not infested. But I do need to take action. She's egg withdrawal anyway due to medication so might as well go for the spray at the same time.

But instructions (for pigeons) on tin say "spray each bird for 4-6 seconds only. Spray rear from 15 inches away parting feathers ".

Don't understand. Is it really just a quick few seconds spray around the outside of the bird's feathers??? If I part feathers to find this one louse I'm after then I'll be spraying for considerably more than a few seconds.

If you've used it...... what do you do to apply this stuff?? Part feathers and liberally spray the bird or is just a quick once over enough to kill the beasties?
