Scotty
Hi Guys, What does it mean when you get blood "rather a lot" in the white part of the egg, Is it still safe to eat? I've been disgarding them but it seems such a shame. is this a stess related thing?
Suzanne
Hi Scotty, I was just logging on to ask exactly the same thing. I have been flicking the red bits out of the eggs when I crack them into a dish but just as you say there was rather a lot today and it does put you off. I do hope we find out why this is happening. It is such a shame to waste the eggs and I keep thinking the poor chickens must be unwell although they appear to be absolutely fine. Egluntyne
Have a look **here**. It might shed some light on the matter. If it is happening regularly, might be worth a word with the vet.
